After the petrol price hiked Maharastra Cabinet minister Jitendra Awhad questioned Bollywood celebs Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan for not speaking about the situation on the rising price of petrol.
NCP leader and cabinet minister Jitendra Awhad have traced out the old tweets of Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay and he is questioning them. Jitendra says that Amitabh and Akshay had raised questions when the previous government’s increased the prices of petrol and diesel, so why are the two silent now?
In an old tweet of 2012, Amitabh Bachchan commenting on the petrol price wrote. ‘Petrol price has increased by 7.5 rupees. Pump attendant -How much petro should I put? Mumbaikar – Spray 2-4 for rupees on the car, brother, I have to burn it. In return for this tweet by Amitabh, Jitendra Awhad wrote, ‘Bachchan, have you refilled the fuel on the petrol pump or haven’t seen the bill? The time has come for you to say something and have a fair opinion. Petrol and diesel prices are skyrocketing. Now, what should Mumbaikar will he burn the car or drive it.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s tweet read, “Couldn’t even get to my house at nite for all of Mumbai was queuing up for petrol before the prices rocketed again,” Tweeting on the Akshay’s Comment Jitendra wrote “Are you not active on Twitter…Have you stopped using cars Don’t you read the newspaper, Akshay Kumar. There has been a steep #PetrolDieselPriceHike just for Ur information.”
According to Jitendra Awhad, at the time of Manmohan Singh’s government when petrol price was increasing then Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar spoke openly against it. But now during the time of the Modi government when the prices are hiking which is reportedly 80.19 liters why these celebs are silent.
