The ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ spinoff from director Todd Phillips has finished filming. The director published two images of Lady Gaga and actor Joaquin Phoenix to inform followers of the titular character.
Pictures of the lead actors have been hared online by the director. According to Deadline, the images feature Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn and Joaquin Phoenix as the movie’s titular villain wearing complete makeup. In the description, the director wrote: “That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together.”
Throughout the making of the movie, the director shared a number of images from the set, starting with a puzzling “day 1” image of Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck getting his head shorn by a police officer, possibly in December of the previous year.
Lady Gaga had previously been glimpsed in New York City sporting the Harley Quinn costume. She was being filmed while being surrounded by cops in downtown Manhattan. Young performers were holding “Free Joker” signs in the crowd scene.
Actor Rachel Zegler wrote, “BABE” while fashion designer Marc Jacobs wrote, “You look amazing. Can’t wait to see the movie (red heart emoticon).” Filmmaker Xavier Dolan wrote, “Attending,” while socialite Paris Hilton dropped fire emoticon.
