With the release of his new album this year, Justin Timberlake is making his eagerly anticipated return to the music industry. On January 25, the music video for Selfish was released, heralding the release of his first significant solo musical composition since 2018. This romantic song with a midtempo beat is the singer’s brand-new single. In the video, the 42-year-old entertainer is shown showcasing his slick dancing routines at the song’s climactic moment, portraying him as a fully fledged performer once more.

Selfish, which Timberlake co-wrote with Theron Thomas, Amy Allen, Louis Bell, and Cirkut, was co-produced by Justin, Bell, and Cirkut. Bradley J. Clader directed the music video for the lead song from the (EITIW) album, “Everything I Thought It Was.” Dana Wilson and Marty Kudelka provided the choreography.

Even while the Selfish video showcases Justin’s beautiful comeback, it also portrays him in a grounded manner. Reluctantly, the SexyBack singer shows up for rehearsal wearing a white t-shirt. The lyrics said, “I want every bit of you / I guess I’m selfish”.
Other projects
Following the success of his musical album Man of the Woods in 2018, Timberlake will release his sixth solo album, EITIW. RCA will release the much-anticipated album on March 15. Along with the album announcement, JT made headlines when it was revealed that he would be performing a one-night only gig at Irving Plaza in New York City. Free tickets are available for the January 31 NYC show.

Before Selfish, JT worked with Jungkook of BTS on the song 3D off the latter’s solo debut album. He also collaborated with Nelly Furtado and Timbaland on the 2023 track Keep Going Up.
