Actor Kamal Haasan and famous director Mani Ratnam are set for a collaboration for an upcoming project which has surprised not just the fans but also people from the industry. After a long period of 35 years, the duo is set to reunite for a Tamil project.
This news was posted on Kamal’s 68th birthday wherein tweeted about this unexpected release which will also feature AR Rahman’s music.
Kamal wrote, “Here we go again!” The film has been dubbed under the tentative name of KH 234, symbolizing the actor’s 234th film.
Fans cummulatively expressed this as an ‘unexpected announcement’. Someone wrote, “Unexpected. Two legends are back together after 35 years.” One comment read. “Oh my. My head is spinning. Can’t believe this.” One read, “The goats coming together.”
The director and actor are celebrating their success of Ponniyin Selvan I and Vikram, respectively.
Kamal Haasan is now filming for Indian 2 which is backed by Lyca Productions. This film also features Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simhaa and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles.
