Actor Karan Deol, the son of actor Sunny Deol, reportedly got engaged in an intimate ceremony on the anniversary of his grandparents, actors Dharmendar and Prakash Kaur. Karan, though, has managed to preserve his partner’s identity. Meanwhile, a number of news websites are reporting that Karan is engaged to a woman by the name of Drisha Roy. Contrary to rumours, a trustworthy source tells that the female in Karan’s life is a Drisha, not a Roy or an Acharya.
By chance, Acharya is the great-granddaughter of celebrated director Bimal Roy. “It’s a classic case of childhood romance,” a source close to them had affirmed. The source adds, “Yes, an engagement did take place. Drisha is in Mumbai and the couple will soon make their official announcement. The idea is to do a public appearance.”
In Mumbai, the couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony. Their wedding location, which is the opulent Taj Lands End in Bandra, has been locked. “The wedding date has been finalised but only the closed ones know about it. However, it will be a star studded affair,” the source further adds.
Karan couldn’t be reached for comment. His aides decided not to respond.
