Karun Nair opened his account with the first century of his career and converted it into a triple century as he made 303 runs on 381 balls. After that, Captain Virat Kohli declared an end to the innings at 759/7. Apart from that, Nair broke the record of Laxman of making 200 runs on playing at 5th position. After Virender Sehwag, Karun Nair became the second Indian batsman to score 300 runs in the test cricket. In 2008, Sehwag hit 319 runs against South Africa in the same Chidambaram stadium, Chennai.

Nair started his test career this year on November 26 in the PCA stadium Mohali against England. This is the third test match of his career.

One interesting fact about Nair is, In July 2016 in Kerela this young Indian cricketer escaped the jaws of death when a misfortune happened as the snake boat he was travelling in, capsized in river Pampa in Kerala. He swam a little to reach to the banks of the river and was rescued by the local people.

He is a 25 years old young player, right hands batsman and an off spin bowler. He was in Royal Challengers team in 2013, Rajasthan Royals in 2014 and Delhi Daredevils in 2016 during IPL matches.

No doubts he has a great future ahead and we wish him a good luck for his current and upcoming innings!
