Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif participated in a visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj which stands as one of the largest religious congregations worldwide. Katrina Kaif was accompanied by her mother-in-law at Maha Shivratri on February 24 as they visited the Maha Kumbh which received more than 64.77 crore visitors from January 13 until its end date of February 26. More than 64.77 crore individuals attended the gathering making it greater than the population total of every nation in the world apart from China and India. Many religious followers including Katrina decided to go to Prayagraj for the sacred ritual events.
Katrina Takes a Holy Dip Amid a Huge Crowd
During Katrina’s visit one of the main highlights occurred when she performed a sacred ritual of holy bathing at Triveni Sangam which unites Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. A big number of people formed a circle around her as numerous attendees attempted to take photographs of her. A drone videoclip recorded the specific moment when Katrina found herself surrounded by multitudes of fans as she carried out her holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. The public displayed conflicting opinions about her devotion on social media platforms because users both applauded her while others criticized the overwhelming crowd. One user wrote, “People should learn basic manners. Let her take a dip peacefully!” Another comment read, “So much crowd around her… just watching this is making me feel suffocated.”
Katrina Meets Spiritual Leaders and Performs Ganga Aarti
During her visit, Katrina met spiritual leaders Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati. She was first seen wearing a soft pink traditional Indian outfit while engaging in a discussion with them. Later, she changed into an orange kurta before stepping into the river for the holy dip. In the evening, Katrina participated in the Ganga Aarti, a beautiful and sacred ritual performed on the riverbanks. She was joined by fellow Bollywood celebrities like Raveena Tandon, her daughter Rasha Thadani, and actor Abhishek Banerjee. Katrina’s mother-in-law, Veena Kaushal, was also present, along with Swami Chidanand Saraswati from Parmarth Niketan Ashram.
