It was then in the year 2000 when he was offered to host the show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The show was a massive hit and said to be the turning point of his life.

While doing the show he was offered a role of Narayan Shankar in film Mohabbatein by Yash Chopra and the living legend of the Bollywood backed on the track.
