Colours TV has finally decided to put an end on one of their most celebrated comedy show – Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza. There are a lot of reasons behind the show going off air in which controversies and consistent low TRP playing the lead.
Following numbers of controversial episodes the show got some bad press making the show less favourable among celebrities and the commoners too.
The viewers have rejected the show the which garnered a lot of negativity especially after John Abraham’s refusal to take jokes on himself and walking out of the show in between.
Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza’s last episode is going to be shot on Saturday with Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur who will attend it to promote their upcoming film OK Jaanu.
Bharti Singh who is the key host of the show after Krushna Abhishek, confirmed that the show will go off air but added that they will be back after a period of three months.
“The entire set will be changed and the show will be revamped because celebrities are not liking the roast format.” – Bharti Singh
Host Krushna Abhishek, however, said that a call is yet to be taken on when the show will go off air.
“We are shooting an episode with OK Jaanu actors Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur on Saturday and later we will be doing an integration with Bigg Boss for two episodes. In January we might shoot an episode with Shah Rukh Khan too for Raees. But it’s true that we will be taking a break. We will change the concept and then come back with a revamped format.” – Krushna Abhishek
The viewership of comedy nights bachao taaza significantly dropped by 22 per cent since its revamp in September.
Take a look :
Clearly, Mona Singh & Co’s entry has not helped the show anyway, and its rechristened title Comedy Nights Bachao Taaza looks rather contradictory. There’s nothing Taaza about it. Just all the roasting and roasting and roasting !
It was not just John who had problem with the hardcore format of the show but many other bollywood celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, just to name a few, shared the dislike.
Though the punches used to be good but even the people started disliking the format on how popular celebrities were invited and roasted causing them huge embarrassment on national television. I must say this must be a lesson for Krushna and team to learn so that they come up with something more sensible.
