In a very sad news coming this hour is former Indian navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, accused of being an raw agent sentenced to death by Pakistan. Pakistan accuses him of spying and holds as proof of New Delhi’s meddling in the restive border province of Balochistan.
Pakistani military’s publicity wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in its statement that Jadhav was declared guilty by an army court of waging war against the country and encouraging violence in Balochistan. They also said that, “Jadhav being a spy was tried through Field General Court Martial (FGCM) under the Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and awarded the death sentence”.
FGCM said, that Jadhav confessed before a magistrate that he sent there in Pakistan by RAW to plan, coordinate and organize sabotage activities aiming to impair and wage war against Pakistan by hampering the efforts of Law Enforcement Agencies for restoring peace in Balochistan and Karachi.”
Kulbhushan Jadhav was arrested on March 3 last year in Balochistan on charge of being a RAW agent. However, India has denied all the charges. Pakistan has repeatedly accused India of encouraging violence in Balochistan but always failed to prove it through any evidence.
