    Bishan Singh Bedi, the father of actor Angad Bedi (who has acted in a number of films and television series) and a former spinner for the Indian cricket team, passed dead. When he passed away, he was 77 years old.

    As per India Today, on Monday, October 23, Bishan Singh Bedi, the renowned spinner and former captain of the Indian cricket team, departed from this life. When Bedi passed away, he was 77 years old. The reason for his demise is still a mystery.

    A true legend!

    On September 25, 1946, Bishan Singh Bedi was born in Amritsar, Punjab. He began playing cricket in 1966 and was a member of the Indian cricket team till 1979. He participated in 67 Tests and claimed 266 wickets over his lengthy and fruitful career. In addition, he claimed seven wickets in 10 One-Day Internationals (ODIs). He was regarded as a pivotal player in India’s maiden ODI victory. In addition, he led the team to victory in the 1971 series against England while Ajit Wadekar was out due to injury.

    Bedi, who is regarded as one of the best spinners in Indian history, ended the series after taking 21 wickets in his opening game.Following 25 wickets against England, 18 more against the West Indies, 22 more against England, and 25 and 31 more against Australia and England, He was renowned for using minute adjustments in his bowling to deceive and outsmart batters.

    Bedi had a successful domestic career in addition to his international cricket career. He participated in the Ranji Trophy as a player for Delhi, helping them win trophies in 1978, 1979, 1980, and 1981.
