India Meteorological Department has predicted that light rainfall may hit Delhi later in the day. Also, the upcoming rain may clear the smog enveloping the New Delhi. Earlier this week, Delhi authority has announced the “odd-even” rationing of cars from November 13 for five days.
According to the Met department, humidity levels in the national capital shot up to 91 percent this morning. An official of the department said:
“The minimum temperature was recorded at 12.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal.”
The official further added: “The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 30 degrees Celsius.”
Visibility was recorded at 800 metres at 5.30 AM, which dropped further to 500 metres by 8.30 AM. Also, the weather is likely to remain comfortable during the afternoon hours due to temperatures rising.
Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayan region
The improvement is because of a fresh approach of Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayan region. Light rains are also anticipated to occur between November 14 to 16 in parts of Punjab and Haryana.
