Great news for all Scream fans. The fifth part of the horror film series started last January and the preparations for the sixth part of the cult shocker series are already in full swing. More and more cast members are being announced for the new sequel, which is set to hit theaters in March 2023. The flick will also see six real “Scream” stars make their comebacks.
In May it was announced that Melissa Barrera (31), among others, will be back in her role. The Mexican played the character of Samantha “Sam” Carpenter in the fifth part. Sam’s half-sister Tara is also back and, like in the last film, is played by Jenna Ortega. The actress who played Mindy Meeks-Martin, Jasmin Savoy Brown, is also in the sixth part after the fifth. And Mindy’s film twin Chad ( Mason Gooding, 25) will remain with the audience a little.
There are also two old hands in the franchise. Courteney Cox has been an integral part of the cast since the first part in her role as TV presenter Gale Weathers and can therefore also be seen in “Scream 6”. In the fourth part, which was released in 2011, Kirby Reed, played by Hayden Panettiere (32), also returns to the horror story.
