The Excel Entertainment television series Bambai Meri Jaan, which stars Kay Kay Menon, Avinash Tiwary, Kritika Kamra, and Amyra Dastur, is now available on Amazon Prime Video. The popular Mumbai underworld is explored in the criminal drama series, which is based on Hussain Zaidi’s best-selling Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia from 2012.

Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur has everything: a fearless filmmaker at the helm, a big scope that enables the film span several decades, and the audacious, ambitious concepts found in real gangster films.
A perfect casting coup when A-list actors like Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui were chosen for the GoW films. It is available on Netflix.
Vaastav: The Reality
Sanjay Dutt’s well-known “50 tola sona” line can be heard in the movie Vaastav: The Reality, which was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar in his feature film debut and also featured Namrata Shirodkar, Deepak Tijori, Mohnish Bahl, and Shivaji Satam.
A number of remakes, notably Bhavani (Telugu), Bhagavan Dada (Kannada), and Don Chera (Tamil), used it as their inspiration. It is rumoured to be based on the life of notorious criminal Chhota Rajan. It is available on Amazon Prime Video.
Daddy
In the 2017 movie Daddy, Arjun Rampal played the gangster-turned-politician and underworld don Arun Gawli. Aishwarya Rajesh, Nishikant Kamat, Rajesh Shringarpure, and Anupriya Goenka appeared alongside Rampal. Farhan Akhtar appeared for a short while. Ashim Ahluwalia co-wrote it and served as the director. Despite the movie’s poor performance at the box office, Rampal garnered favourable reviews from reviewers. It is available on Amazon Prime Video.
Aaranya Kaandam
Known as the first neo-noir movie in Tamil cinema, Aaranya Kaandam stars Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj, Yasmin Ponnappa, and Guru Somasundaram. The script was written by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, who also made his debut as a director. Each of the six major characters in the film has a unique story that occurs on the same day. Streaming options include Disney+, Hotstar, and MX Player.
