If you are suffering from intense or prolonged stress, you could be suffering from “adrenal fatigue”. Adrenal Glands are essential for producing hormone cortisol which helps humans to cope with short-term stress periods.

However, if you are overworked or overly stressed your adrenal glands will not be able to produce enough cortisol to help you relax which means you won’t be able to respond appropriately to stressful situations.This leads to low sexual desires because if your body and mind are not relaxed, it may lead to low sexual desires and leads to bad physical relationship and bad sex life with your partner.

Natural health expert and author, Marilyn Glenville told the Telegraph six things to do.

1. Don’t eat fruit in the morning

This is because those with adrenal fatigue experience an imbalanced level of blood sugar and need to have protein for breakfast.

2. Take breaks every 90 minutes

To fit in with your body’s “circadian rhythm”. This will relax your body and mind both.

3. Add sea salt to your food

Because your adrenal glands also produce a hormone called aldosterone which tells the kidneys to retain the salt your body needs to function. Sea Salt is very useful in this condition, try to replace your normal salt with sea salt.

4. Switch your runs for walks

Because running only leads to more “unnecessary stress hormones”, yet walking allows the body to get cardiovascular exercise and destress at the same time.

5. Listen to your body and sleep when it tells you too

Yes, even if this is as soon as you get home. Have a healthy sleep and never change your sleep timings.

6. Fit in meditation to your daily routine

Just 10 minutes meditation a day will help your body recover. It will also give you calmness of thoughts.
