The political thriller Maamannan by Mari Selvaraj is significant for all those involved, especially producer-actor Udhayanidhi Stalin. Before completely launching his political career, it serves as Udhayanidhi’s final film as an actor. With the film receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from all sides, Udhayanidhi is able to say goodbye in the most satisfying way.
In the meantime, Udhayanidhi recently gave a luxury car to the movie’s director Mari Selvaraj as a thank-you present, encouraged by Maamannan’s success. Udhayanidhi expressed his joy about the movie’s success on Twitter by writing, “Everyone discusses it differently. They share ideas relating their thoughts to the story and the field. It has become a hotly debated topic among Tamils around the world. Our leaders like Ambedkar, Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar have inculcated the sense of self-respect and social justice thoughts in the young generation. A huge commercial success as well. @RedGiantMovies_ Company is pleased to present a Mini Cooper car to @mari_selvaraj sir. Thanks to my Mari Selvaraj sir for giving wings to ‘Mamannan’ to fly around the world.”
Maamannan has reportedly already gathered about Rs 23.79 crore and is predicted to do well at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film, which was released on June 29 (Thursday), made roughly Rs 6.75 crore on its opening day.
