Fans are going awe over Pakistani actor Mahira Khan’s wedding pictures. Her most recent Instagram posts are from her mehendi ceremony, in which she is wearing a stunning anarkali in peacock blue.
On Monday, Mahira shared a carousel of three images from her mehendi ceremony on October 29 on Instagram. She is shown in all three images wearing an anarkali in peacock blue with elaborate embroidery on the neck and sleeves. She accessorised her look with a transparent orange dupatta, a green choker, and kundan jewellery.
She is smiling widely as four of her buddies or brothers are seen holding a phoolon ki chaadar (flower sheet) over her. She can also be seen with a group of gajra.
She penned down, “Right before we were heading down.. Asim put a whole string of motias on my arm.. just because.. he is Asim and I’m his mahiru.. forever InshAllah (blue heart emoji) Mehndi (blue heart emoji) 29.09.23.”
Here, Mahira was referring to Pakistani director and close friend Asim Raza. In his feature film debut as a director, Mahira appeared in the 2015 coming-of-age classic Ho Mann Jahaan.
On his Stories, Asim reposted Mahira’s Instagram post and said, “My Mahiru!”
On Monday, Asim sent a message for Mahira on Instagram. He shared a photo from her wedding ceremony in which he can be seen removing Mahira’s veil while wearing a black sherwani and a blue saafa. In the caption, he writes, “All the hope, love & prayers I have, I give to you. That you find comfort in one another, forever & ever. Dear Mahiru & Salim, I am here, and I am your biggest cheerleader. My heart is full. @mahirahkhan @salimkarim (lotus emojis).”
The next time we’ll see Mahira, she’ll be in Ammar Rasool’s movie Neelofer alongside her longtime co-star Fawad Khan. They will also appear in the Jo Bachain Hain Sang Samait Lo Netflix series.
