Mark Zuckerberg who is known to everybody especially youth has shared a lengthy letter explaining the future of Facebook.
He has connected friends now he want to connect almost everything to make a world a better place to live.
This post is Zuckerberg’s first revision to the letter of original founder of Facebook who wrote ahead of Facebook’s public offering more than five years ago.
“For the past decade, Facebook has focused on connecting friends and families. With that foundation, our next focus will be developing the social infrastructure for community — for supporting us, for keeping us safe, for informing us, for civic engagement, and for inclusion of all.” Zuckerberg writes in his updated letter.
Zuckerberg’s letter is of around 6,000 words and here are the key points:
- Facebook is concern for getting people together not just only on the internet but also in the physical world. One billion Facebook users are active members of groups, and Zuckerberg sees those as ways to help facilitate real world interactions.
- Facebook take it as a responsibility to help people stay safe. Features like Safety Check are important to the company’s future which let users mark themselves as safe during a disaster.
- Facebook has a responsibility to keep people informed. “It is our responsibility to amplify the good effects and mitigate the bad,” wrote Zuckerberg.
- “Going forward, there are even more cases where our community should be able to identify risks related to mental health, disease or crime,” Zuckerberg wrote.
