The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is garnering media attention once more with her most recent business decision. The talent agency WME has revealed via its Twitter account that the former Suits actress has signed a contract with them. Apparently, Archewell Productions, the joint venture between Meghan and Prince Harry, will also be represented by Meghan’s WME team.
Fans shouldn’t anticipate seeing Meghan return to acting any time soon, despite the fact that her relationship with WME will span film and television production. Acting won’t be the deal’s main focus, according to Variety. Meghan herself suggested in an October 2022 Variety cover story that she was “done” acting for the time being, but she didn’t totally rule it out.
In 2020, Meghan and Harry relocated to California after giving up their positions as senior working royals. Through their production company, they have been collaborating with Netflix on a number of projects, including the docuseries Harry & Meghan.
With Meghan’s new contract with WME, it appears that the Sussexes are still leaving their imprint in the entertainment business, but perhaps in ways they hadn’t initially intended. The ideas they have in the works for the future will only become clear with time.
