Mexico’s President Cancels Meeting With Trump And Shatters His ‘Wall’ Dream

After the “Border Wall” decision taken by Trump’s administration, Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto has canceled an upcoming meeting with President Trump which was previously supposed to happen on 31st January 2017.

Moreover, President Enrique has also confirmed that Mexico will not pay even a single penny for the “so called building the wall decision by trump”.

Peña Nieto said:

“I regret and reject the decision of the U.S. to build the wall, Mexico does not believe in walls. I’ve said time and again: Mexico will not pay for any wall.”

Earlier Trump claimed that the construction cost will later be compensated by Mexico:

“Ultimately it will come out of what’s happening with Mexico, We’re going to be starting those negotiations relatively soon. And we will, in a form, be reimbursed by Mexico.”

Also according to the Trump administration, it was a mutual decision to cancel the meeting. Trump further added:

“The president of Mexico and myself have agreed to cancel our planned meeting, We will look for a date to schedule something in the future, White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters aboard Air Force One while en route to the retreat. We will keep the lines of communication open.”

Trump’s border wall will cost anything between $12 billion and $15 billion.
