A striking report suggests that Ben Affleck ‘s Batman is being replaced by Michael Keaton ‘s Batman . It was already known that both actors can be seen in The Flash (2022), but now it seems clear that the Keaton will be getting a more permanent role in the DC Extended Universe.
Before the turn of the year, The New York Times published an extensive article about DC Films boss Walter Hamada. It contained a striking quote about the future of Batman in the DCEU.

“Warner Bros., for example, will have two different movie agas with Batman – played by two different actors – running at the same time,” Hamada said in the article.
But who are those Batmans?
A fan asked for clarity via Twitter from Brooks Barnes, the writer of the article. Barnes responded, indicating that Keaton is the second Batman in the films that are not directly set in The Batman universe .
So it looks suspiciously like the events in director Andy Muschietti’s The Flash are going to get Affleck to be written out of the franchise and Keaton to play the role for an extended time.
Keaton played Bruce Wayne in Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992), and Affleck debuted as the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016 and filmed recent new scenes for this year’s Justice League: Director’s Cut . The Flash is scheduled for release in November 2022.
