Amidst the Twitter storm going on for the controversial tweet by Richa Chadha on the Indian Army, husband-actor Ali Fazl posted about his hit web series Mirzapur’s shooting in Goa. The actor took to his social media to post the picture from the sets.
Ali wrote, ” I never thought i would say this ever – but lets just say Mirzapur heads to Goa . Picture it. Imagine it. Send in your reasons. Or call my bluff ! If it is.” Mirzapur, a crime thriller series features Pankaj Tripathi, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar and Priyanshu Painuli, Shweta Tripathi in the leading roles. Ali Fazal who plays ‘Guddu’ Pandit is intertwined with the evil inscribed by the gangster world around him.
Last week, Richa Chadha replied to a tweet by Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, on taking back the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Her tweet sparked controversy: “Galwan says hi.” Her tweet was criticised duly by actors Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and Kay Kay Menon.
However later the actor has put own the tweet and wrote a note of apology which was backed by few including Swara Bhaskar. Richa wrote, “Even though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj (army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part. As a Lt. Col, he took a bullet in the leg in the Indo-China war, in 1960s. My Mamaji was a paratrooper. It’s in my blood.”
