Miss Universe 2019, the 68th edition of the Miss Universe competition, was held on December 8, 2019, at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States. On October 31, 2019, the Miss Universe Organization confirmed that the competition will be held on December 8, 2019. The pageant brought 90 women together to see who will bring home the title. Contestants competed in swimsuit, evening gown and on-stage question rounds.
Zozibini Tunzi is an African Model born on 18 September 1993 took the title home. She is the third woman from South Africa to win the title and the first black woman since Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Universe 2011. Tunzi began her pageantry career in 2017 when she was accepted as one of the top 26 semifinalists of Miss south Africa 2017, but unfortunately, she was not selected as one of the twelve finalists. But later on, She returned to pageantry to compete in the Miss South Africa 2019. Currently, Tunzi won the title of Miss Universe and she was crowned by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray at the event held in Atlanta on Sunday night.
