The TikTok 2024 Trend Press Conference, with the theme “What’s Next,” was held in Seoul on December 7.
The conference covered a wide range of topics, including a thorough examination of 2023 trends, the impact of K-content in Southeast Asia, the music trends for the social media app in 2023, and a thoughtful review of the platform’s accomplishments in 2023 that provided an early look at 2024.
Global favorites were highlighted in the Year On chart, with Fifty Fifty achieving the top slot on the playlist. Closely trailing behind were BTS (fourth), BLACKPINK (third), ENHYPEN (sixth), LE SSERAFIM (eighth), and NewJeans (ninth), demonstrating their significant impact as leading forces in the K-pop landscape for the year.
Jisoo, IVE, NewJeans, and (G)I-DLE by FIFTY FIFTY and BLACKPINK were at the top of the Korean chart. Japanese singer-songwriter Imase came in sixth, and Charlie Puth came in tenth. Notable K-pop acts including NCT, TXT, Stray Kids, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, and others made it to the top as Hitmakers alongside the world’s leading acts.
