There are many Movies, that have a good storyline. And as soon as they are released in the theatre they nail it down at the box office. But do you think that every movie gets a privilege like this? If you think so then the answer is no. Because there are some films that got banned in India. And the reason behind this is that in spite of having a good storyline The censor board banned them in India. As it contained scenes showing, adult content, and obscenity.

Unfreedom (2015)
This film titled Unfreedom. That talks about lesbian community was completely banned in India. And the reason was that it showed intense love-making scenes. Not just this it also showcased the terrorism angle. And this didn’t go well down with the Censor Board. After which it was banned, but at the same hand it was appreciated in other countries.
Dazed in Doon (2010)
Dazed in Doon was a film that was based on extreme drug abuse and nudity, which was not acceptable by the school. As it is one of the most reputed schools of India. The school and the board thought that the film can become the reason to tarnish the school’s image. And hence it was never released in India. As it could have spoiled the heritage and name of the school.
Inshallah Football
Inshallah Football was a film based on Football. But since it was a movie based on Kashmir the censor board immediately quashed it. However, it later received the National award for Best Film, which was based on Social Issues.
Paanch (2003)
The film Paanch was also banned by the censor board. As it was based on drug abuse and crass language. And therefore the board didn’t want to show the audience this kind of stuff. But do you know that it went to many film festivals that include Filmfest Hamburg and The Indian Film Festival Of Los Angeles.?
The Pink Mirror (2003)
The story of The Pink Mirror is based on trans-sexuality. And since is a controversial topic for the Indian audience it was scrutinized by the board. And after seeing the obscene the movie got banned. But at the same hand, it got raving reviews abroad.
