In a sequined jacket and black lace pantsuit, Mrunal Thakur marked her debut at Cannes. As the actor attended her first festival in Cannes, she shared shots from her photo shoot on a terrace. Fans reacted to her photos by dubbing her the “next national crush” and remarking that she looked very different from her Telugu movie role in Sita Ramam (2022).
She shared pictures of her Cannes debut on Instagram and wrote, “I didn’t come this far to only come this far. #YesICannes Ready to take on the @festivaldecannes experience. Join me on this glamorous little journey #StayTuned.”
The actor completed the look with black heels and a flowy sequined blazer over black lace trousers and a corset.
Earlier she offered a glimpse on her Instagram Stories, “The calm before the storm. Anyhoo. Gotta get dressed now.” One fan stated her to be the, “Next national crush,” while another wrote, “Sita ye tune kya kiya.” While many perceived a fresh look, polar opposite to her role as ‘Sita’.
Before arriving for the illustrious festival, Mrunal spoke to ANI and said, “I am thrilled to be attending the Cannes Film Festival for the first time. It is an honour to represent Grey Goose at such a prestigious platform. I am looking forward to interacting with global filmmakers, exploring new opportunities, and showcasing the talent that Indian cinema has to offer.”
Mrunal last appeared with Aditya Roy Kapur in Gumraah. Her upcoming film, Nani 30, starring actor Nani, is a Telegu film.
