Myth: Packaged milk has added preservatives
Milk packaged in Tetra Pak cartons is preservative free. The milk that is packaged is sterilized by special technique called UHT (Ultra Heat Treatment). This technique ensures that there is no organism left in the milk. So if there is no organisms in the milk, there is no chance of getting it spoilt even it is kept at room temperature for 6 months.
Myth: Consumption of milk can lead to early puberty
Here is another famous myth that we keep hearing. However this too has been proven wrong. Drinking too much milk has no link to children hitting puberty. In fact, growing children should be drinking much milk because of all the calcium it has to offer.
Myth: Boil the packaged milk from the market
The great part about packaged milk is that the aseptic packaging involves transferring the the treated milk into pre-sterilized packages in a sterile environment. Therefore, there is no need to boil the milk before use. You can have it directly or warm it slightly to have it as a hot beverage.
