Nafe Singh Rathee, The Indian National Lok Dal’s (INLD) Haryana unit. And another party worker got shot while they were driving in Bahadurgarh near Delhi. Some unidentified people sprayed bullets at their car. Alongwith Rathee three bodyguards hired also got suffered. This incident took place right before the Lok sabha elections, and other parties went in distress saying the government didn’t keep things safe.
Abhay Chautala, an INLD leader, gave a statement that Rathee and another person from his party got shot and died. Three bodyguards Rathee hired also faced a lot of injuries. And were admitted to the Brahmashakti Sanjeevani Hospital. Chautala said, “He didn’t have any police protection.” Rathee, who used to be a politician and was around 70 years old, travelling in his SUV. When some attackers in another car shot at him in Jhajjar district. He further explained that loads of bullets was sprayed at him. Confirming the attack on Rathee.
Twice elected MLA didn’t have any security. Inspite of the written appeal to senior police officers and state home minister stating that he was in danger and needed protection. Nothing happened. If he was given security tuch a situation would not have arisen. After this situation STF teams have begun investigating the case and the accused will be arrested at the earliest.
The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party criticized the Manohar Lal Khattar government for the incident. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a top leader from Congress, said,”The news of INLD state president Nafe Singh Rathee being shot dead in Haryana is very sad.
