The trailer of Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam have been released by the makers on YouTube. Director Lijo Jose Pellissery has offered a nerve chilling plot backed by S. Hareesh’s screenwriting The film stars Mammootty in the lead role. It is based on a quiet place which is on a disbelief that a dead man had returned.
The trailer starts with a couplet from Thirukkural which shows the dead being woken up. The drama seems to be set in Tamil Nadu amidst the landscape Mammootty takes a mid-morning nap and wakes up as someone else. It could be identified that he is someone who recently died in the village. Is he possessed? It is an unanswered question left as a cliffhanger.
The actor has produced the film. Earlier this month, the film featured in the world premiere at the International Film Festival of Kerala. It received a good response from the audience post the launch. The makers have not yet unleashed the release date for the film.
