It seems Congress party and the Gandhi family are going through the worst phase of time. The Delhi High Court on Friday has ordered a probe against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. The court has cleared the way for an Income Tax investigation into Young India Private Limited, a company where Sonia and Rahul are directors.
After the High Court ruling, Subramanian Swami told CNN-News 18, “I am very happy. I am arguing that fraud has taken place. These cases will see the light of day. If the PM doesn’t do anything, people will say that he only gives speeches.”
Also, BJP leader Nalin Kohli told CNN-News18 that “It is a blow to the Gandhis. They may approach the Supreme Court, but they still need to answer questions.”
On the other hand, from the Congress party, Randeep Singh Surjewala has given a statement: “The Gandhi have the option of approaching the Supreme Court. The I-T (department) cannot open a one-sided investigation. Subramanian Swamy is not inchare of I-T. Young Indian is a trust which manages National Herald. No one can profit from it. Neither Sonia nor Rahul withdrew any money from it.”
