Film Uri: The Surgical Strike was one of the hit films of Bollywood. All the characters of the film became memorable in people’s heart. One of them was the role of Home Minister played by actor Navtej Hundal. Sadly the actor is no more! He breathed his last on Monday (April 8) evening. Uri was his last film which was released in January this year and featured Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.
The news of his demise was shared by the official Twitter handle of the Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA). Their tweet reads:
Navtej is survived by his wife Neelam and two daughters. One of his daughters, Avantika Hundal, is currently seen as Mihika in the popular daily soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
Navtej was also an acting teacher. He worked in superhit films like Khalnayak (1993) and Tere Mere Sapne (1996) as well as television shows such as Bharat Ek Khoj.
