Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Anjana Pandey (Aaliya) on Tuesday mentioned that the duo will be approaching for divorce. Nawazuddin had most recently filed a defamation suit against his brother Shamasuddin and estranged wife Aaliya in the Bombay High Court. Siddiqui had sought a whopping Rs 100 crore for false claims made by them. The plea will be supposedly heard on March 30.
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Aaliya told Nawazuddin “reached out for a settlement” but she refused to respond to it. She added divorce will take place, “that’s for sure”, and she will also fight for gain custody of the children.
“Nawaz has also filed for custody but I will not let that happen. Both my kids want to stay with me and don’t want to live with him,” Aaliya averred.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui intended to file a suit which will serve to be an injunction to permanently restrict the two harassing and defaming him while also instructed to post any defamatory content on social media platforms.
“Following the disclosure, the two may be restrained from disposing of or dealing with their assets in any manner, especially which may adversely affect Siddiqui from recovering the damages caused or other pecuniary remedies from them which the court may deem fit and proper,” the plea mentioned.
