Nawazzudin Siddiqui is really a genius at acting who made his career through his talent, but before an actor, the ‘Manjhi’ star was a before, therefore, to help all the farmers of the country, Nawazzudin has gained some very important knowledge at film festival, Cannes.
He got this knowledge from his French friends whom he befriended in the festival, fortunately, they were also farmers and the information which the actor gained is stated below:
“Almost every kind of crop in France was being irrigated using this cost-effective and water efficient technique called centre pivot irrigation,” said Siddiqui. “This innovative method of irrigation consists of a transformer with wheels, and elevated pipes jutting out of the contraption with rotating nozzles fitted within a gap of a couple of feet from each other. Each pipe can irrigate an area of an acre and consumes less than half the quantity of water that we would otherwise use with conventional techniques of irrigation.” he added.
After learning this technique in France the actor also practiced it in his home village.
“Using this technique has a biological advantage. Research tells us that if you’re watering from the top, the grains are healthier. The best way to explain this technology to the farmers was to ask them which is the best way to irrigate land. Everyone agreed that natural rainfall was the best option and this technique recreates the sprinkle of rainfall. I told them,”Agar hum barish karte hain, toh kaisa hoga.” The farmers understood him and agreed to implement his point.
Such kinds of initiatives are really what our country needs instead of new day controversies. Even if this small initiative of Nawazzudin Siddiqui is implemented in real life then it can save the lives of thousands of farmers.
