Amidst the surrogacy controversies, the investigation team constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu has made it clear that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan have not breached the surrogacy laws of the country. The couple were welcomed their twin boys Uyir and Ulagham through the adoption of surrogacy.
A three-member committee was set by the department to study the flaws involved in the process of surrogacy adopted by the couple. On Wednesday, the panel submitted a series of reports subjecting irregularities induced by the hospital authorities who were involved in the surrogacy process.
“On investigating the doctor who provided treatment to the couple, it was discovered that the couple’s family doctor had provided a letter of recommendation in 2020 based on which treatment was provided,” the panel averred as stated in the report published by The News Minute.
The preliminary details of the report states that the surrogate candidate fixed the agreement with the couple in November 2021 and soon after by March 2022, the embryo was placed. By October, the couple were blessed with the twins. Since the Surrogacy (Regulation) Act 2021 was regulated in December, in accordance with the vent’s timeline, the adoption of surrogacy is legal.
However, the authorities have issued a notice against the hospital who created all the chaos and confusion.
Nayanthara will make her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, an Atlee directorial, next year.
