Deepak Hooda is one of the greatest talents being benched for both games and has got a rightful opportunity to showcase his skills if given a chance in the third T20I.
Dravid and company have backed up Axar Patel in the playing XI and have even intended to send him before Dinesh Karthik but nothing has been working well for team India.
Axar Patel was asked to bowl 4 overs in the first game of this series in which he was able to take one wicket but at the cost of 40 runs in 4 overs. In the second T20 Axar was sent up the order and before finisher Dinesh Karthik in which Axar performed not so brilliantly as he got bowled in 10 runs off 11 balls. Coming to the bowling, Axar was given just a single over in which he conceded 19 runs and Hardik Pandya was asked to bowl the extra overs.
Considering the downfall in not only Axar’s performance but also in Pant’s responsibility for him, Axar is likely to give his seat to Deepak Hooda who performed brilliantly for team India before the IPL began.
Deepak Hooda continued his outstanding performance in the top-notch league too, benefiting LSG throughout the season.
Deepak Hooda plays a tactical role as an all-rounder to the team and while Gautam Gambhir believes him to be replaced by Dinesh Karthik, Axar can be a weak target out there tonight. Dinesh Karthik’s brilliant finish in the last T20I has unquestionably kept his seat permanent for some time more.
