Fans of the popular Spanish television show Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) will be thrilled to learn that a prequel series named Berlin will be available on Netflix. Viewers just got a new look at Pedro Alonso’s portrayal of the character Berlin in a sneak peek. The prequel, which will explore Berlin’s past, is scheduled to debut on December 29 of this year.
This time, Berlin is shown organising a daring theft in Paris with the goal of robbing a prestigious auction house of €44 million in a single afternoon. Berlin, who is trying to rob a guy, falls in love with the man’s wife, which complicates things and adds a fascinating element of suspense to the narrative.
As Professor’s older brother in Money Heist, Berlin had a vital part to play in the meticulous preparation that went into the heists that were the series’ focal point.
On the other hand, Netflix’s Berlin is an original production unlike the Spanish Money Heist adopted and streamed by Netflix earlier.
The creators of Money Heist, Esther Martnez Lobato and Lex Pina, have created Berlin.David Oliva, David Barrocal, Esther Martinez Lobato, and Lex Pina are the writers for the prequel. The cast also features Tristan Ulloa as Damián, Joel Sánchez as Bruce, Julio Pea as Roi, Begoa Vargas as Cameron, Michelle Jenner as Keila, and Pedro Alonso as Berlin.
