There are 73 cases of coronavirus in India till now. People are using face masks, sanitizers, and other cleaning products at a vast measure, now there is a new rumor which people are afraid of. The rumor is that people can get infected with coronavirus by eating meat.
But wait, there is no such confirmation of this. People are turning their heads from the meat because they just don’t want to take any risk. Some people are suggesting to eat Jackfruit (Kathal) instead of meat. Now because of this Kathal prices increased from 50 per kg to 120 per kg and chicken prices decreased to 80 per kg in the market. Here is the proof-
Recently, in an interview with NDTV Food, a person said-
“It is better having a ‘kathal’ biryani instead of mutton biryani. It tastes reasonably good. The only problem is that ‘kathal’ has been sold out in the vegetable market and is difficult to find. “
Poultry business have a severe effect due to coronavirus. Now twitter is freaking out with posts of ‘Kathal’ as a desi remedy for chicken and meat lovers.
Sadly, some cases have been reported that live chickens are being killed to eliminate the spread of coronavirus. There is a case in Karnataka where a farmer buried alive truckloads of chickens because of decreased demand for chicken due to rumors.
