Newly Born is Named as GST by Her Mother After Launch of India’s Biggest Tax Reform

Incredible India and its incredible people everywhere! Call it funny or whatever but this news will bring a smile on your face. As we Indians are known for our penchant to celebrate every second occasion then how the biggest tax reform in the country lags behind? It was June 30 midnight when the Goods and Services Tax (GST) was officially announced by the government.

Meanwhile, a pregnant woman who gave birth to his newly born in Beawar, Rajasthan around the same time, named her baby as GST. This mother decided to name her child who was born at 12:02 am on Saturday, July 1 in order to commemorate the mega launch of India’s biggest single tax reform till date.

She got popular after that, that even the Chief Minister of the state Vasundhara Raje conveyed her wishes to the baby on Twitter. Many of you will get surprised to know that Lalu Prasad Yadav did the same when his daughter Misa was born.

Speaking about naming children after a government measure, the famous political leader Lalu Prasad Yadav is on the list too. Yes, the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Union minister Lalu Prasad had named his eldest daughter Misa after the draconian Maintenance of Internal Security Act of the then Indira Gandhi government in the early 1970s.
