Now You Can Cook Vegetarian Biryani At Home With The Help Of Sanjeev Kapoor Amazing Recipe

India is popular for many reasons and one of them is the spicy and yummy food we Indians cook ! Right !  Better than anybody else. Another reason we are famous all over the world is again food but the food which we can’t resist ! Biryani. Well, mostly chicken but vegetarian Biryani is also very much loved by all the vegetarians. So, today we are going to learn how to cook Biryani Chef Sanjeev Kapoor Style. Let’s get started !


Vegetable Biryani Recipe By Sanjeev Kapoor

Ingredients which are required to make and complete this dish are :

There are a lot of them so you better take note !

Basmati Rice

Carrots  –  sliced

Safron  –  a few threads

Warm Milk  –  1/4 Cup

Oil for deep frying

Onion  –  sliced about 4  ( Large )

Green Cardamom – 2

Clove  –  4

Black Cardamom  – Just 1

Bay Leaf  – 1

Ginger – Garlic paste  1/2 Tablespoon

Green Chilli Chopped  – 4

All the  main spices  ( Turmeric, red chili powder, salt and garam masala )

Coriander and Mint freshly chopped


And now the method to cook it !

Step – 1

First of all , Soak the saffron in the warm milk. Boil rice in four cups of boiling salted water with green cardamoms, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf. Drain the excess water. Heat oil in a Kadai and deep-fry the onions till they turn a little golden.

Step – 2

Cook all the vegetables separately and then  drain all of them in cold water. Take a bowl and  mix every vegetable with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, half the garam masala powder, salt and half the browned onions.

Step – 3

Now take a pressure cooker and transfer everything into it. Now, Spread rice all over the vegetables. Sprinkle the saffron-flavoured milk, coriander leaves, mint leaves, kewra essence, ginger strips, and ass the remaining garam masala powder and  browned onions over the rice.

Step – 4

Seal the cooker with the lid and cook over medium heat  till the rice and vegetables are cooked. About 20 minutes you have to wait and check afterward. After a required check your Biryani and you can serve it with curd or any topping of your choice.  You can thank us later !
