Especially his pair with Kajol was the one that created magic every time they appear on the screen. No wonder their chemistry on the reel is applauded since the audience has seen them together. In fact, in real life also, they both share a very good bonding. But the surprising thing is that their friendship didn’t start on a good note. In the beginning, Shah Rukh was not at all impressed by the actress. In his opinion, Kajol lacked focus. Which he didn’t like at all.
Shah Rukh was quite rude in his initial days and hence criticized Kajol. Not just this, but he also warned Aamir not to work with Kajol. In an old interview, SRK even said, “When I was working with her in Baazigar, Aamir Khan asked me about her as he wanted to work with her. I left him a message saying, ‘She is very bad, no focus, and you will not be able to work with her’. And then I saw the rushes in the evening. I kept calling Aamir to clarify. I told him, ‘I don’t know what it is, but she is magical on-screen.’”
However, the reality is that their story began from the sets of Baazigar. And from thereon they became good friends. Recalling about those days, Kajol said. “I remember Shah Rukh and other actors had a huge hangover. He was very grumpy, but I kept chatting, and finally, he said, ‘Will you please shut up… chup ho jao’. I think that’s how we became friends.”
Earlier in an interview, she said that over the span of the last two decades, we both changed and have now become a better version of ourselves. Praising Shah Rukh she also said that he is one of the finest actors Bollywood has. And it was a great experience working with him. The last time they both shared the screen in the film Dilwale in 2015. And yet again, netizens are still waiting for their reunion.
