Kerala cricket star and Rajasthan Royals’ wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson got married recently. He tied the knot with his college mate and longtime girlfriend Charulatha in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerela. It was a low-key affair that took place at Kovalam, a small town away from the capital city.
Sanju Samson later told the media that, his marriage was attended by only 30 people, making it a simple wedding function. He said,
“There were just 30 of us from both the families and it was a very simple function. We are very happy that we have got the blessings of both the families.”
Meanwhile, some of the famous celebrities had attended Samson’s wedding reception. However, unlike the recent weddings of some cricketers, the function was not attended by too many players. In fact, only one cricketer – former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid attended the wedding.
Dravid and Samson have worked together for quite some time now. Dravid has coached Samson in IPL as well as for India A.
