The list of Hollywood films that are nominated for Oscars is finally here. The event will be celebrating its 92nd award ceremony this year which is slated to take place on February 10, 2020.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, that organizes the Oscar Award ceremony, has released a list of nominations for 2020. This time Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Joker and Irishmen are among the top list of nominations in the prestigious award ceremony. All three films have received nominations in different categories. This is the first time for Brad Pitt nominated for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He has received a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category.
This year the most successful Hollywood film, “Joker has been nominated in 9 categories, including Best Film. Whereas, the film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been nominated in 10 categories. Nominations include categories such as Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay. Along with “Joker” The Irishman could also prove to be the winner, although the film received 10 nominations in different categories.
In 2019 the superhero film Avengers Endgame, which made its history worldwide for its collection has just received a nomination in the visual effects category. Many Hollywood actors have been nominated this time for the best actor category. The actors are Antonio Banderas, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Joaquin Phoenix. While, Tom Hanks, Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Joe Posky and Brat Pitt are competing in the supporting actor category.
Among the list of Hollywood films, this time from India is Zoya Akhtar‘s Gully Boy was also sent to compete in the International Feature Film category of the Oscar awards but the film was not shortlisted for the nomination list. The 92nd Academy Award ceremony will be broadcast in India from 10 am on February 10.
