There is one shocking revelation is coming out of the Kanpur Train Tragedy that happened on November 21, 2016. Near about 148 people were killed in that accident and it is now speculated that it was an act of sabotage with possible ties to Pakistani spy agency Inter-services Intelligence (ISI).
Three persons are arrested by the police on Tuesday on the charges of involvement in the incident. One of the three accused told police that they planted a pressure cooker based improvised explosive device near the railway track in Kanpur which resulted in the derailment.
He also said that he had done that for money, the actual reasons behind them was not told to him. They just signed to do that and got paid for it. However, the police are investigating to find whether it is true or not. It is revealed by the central counter-terror official.
The UP anti-terrorist squad (ATS), Lucknow and the National Investigating Agency (NIA) are likely to quiz the three accused since there is the suspicion that their handler, identified as Shamsul Hoda of Nepal, may have ISI links.
