The standard of women’s cricket is rising day by day. We can see the quality and the consistency of women’s cricket at the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup in England. The sport is not a male-dominated anymore. In a recent example, Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal got bowled by a female bowler in an exhibition match in Norway.
Umar Akmal was enjoying his vacations in Norway. He took part in the charity cricket match, which was played between two women teams.
The right-hander came into bat and on the other side young female cricketer, Isma Ahmed was ready to bowl.
It was not a difficult delivery to tackle but Umar failed miserably as he tried to flick the ball and eventually got bowled by Isma.
Umar Akmal made his test debut on 23 November 2009 against New Zealand at Dunedin where he scored 129 runs. He has the record for scoring the most number of ducks (27 times) in Twenty 20 cricket history.
In this year, he was sent back to Pakistan from England ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 after he failed fitness tests.
