Here’s another incident that made Pakistan embarrassed at the international level. Pakistan’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Maleeha Lodhi at an event in New York heckled by a man. He claimed to be a Pakistani national and accused her of corruption.
While Maleeha’s media interaction, this man intervened saying he had questions for the Pakistani official. The viral video on the internet shows when Lodhi was concluding the press meet, the man got agitated and said, “You can’t be done, I have a question for you.” Maleeha didn’t like it and ignored the man’s question and walked away after a brief argument. Watch the video:
The man said, “I have a question for you, you cannot be done…what are you doing? For the past 10 years, 15 years, what are you doing?” and accused Maleeha Lodhi “stealing their money”. To which Maleeha replied, “That’s not the way you ask a question.”
The man justified his actions by saying that it is legal that he can question a person who represents his country at the United Nations.
