Surprisingly, these all are married and even had relations with other men also. The question is if they are married then why these considered as a virgin? Read out the text:

According to Padampurana, Gautam Rishi’s wife Ahilya was very beautiful. Once the Dev Indra was roaming around nearby the place she lived with her husband. He then saw Ahilya and got attracted. One day in the absence of Gautam Rishi, Indra came at their place pretending him as Gautam Rishi through magic. Ahilya loved his husband a lot. Indra who was turned into Gautam Rishi through magic took the benefit of his absence and made physical relations with Ahilya. When they were getting intimate, the real Gautam Rishi stepped in and after seeing his wife in an objectionable position with another person, Gautam Rishi irked. He gave a curse to Ahilya and converted her into a rock. Ahilya was very loyal to her husband but as Indra betrayed her she had to face the severe punishment for the thing she never committed. This is the reason she is considered as a virgin.

In the Hindu epic RamayanaTara is the Queen of Kishkindha and wife of the monkey (vanara) King Vali. After being widowed, she becomes the Queen of Sugriva, Vali’s brother. She was a nymph who rises from the churning of the milky ocean. After Vali is presumed dead in a battle with a demon, his brother Sugriva becomes king and appropriates Tara; however, Vali returns and regains Tara and exiles his brother, accusing him of treachery. When Sugriva challenges Vali to a duel, Tara wisely advises Vali not to accept because of the former’s alliance with Rama. Vali thought that Tara is supporting Sugriv so he abandoned her. He fought with Sugriv and killed by Sri Rama. His last words Sugriv were to follow what Tara says. She always wanted good for his husband even after he abandoned her.

Mandodri was beautiful as well as intelligent. After getting attracted by her beauty, Ravana married her. The Ramayana describes Mandodari as beautiful, pious, and righteous. She is extolled as one of the Panchakanya(“Five Girls”), the recital of whose names is believed to dispel sin.

In Mahabharata, she was very beautiful and intelligent. She is often regarded as one of the protagonists of the Mahabharata. Kunti had 6 sons – 5 Pandavas including Karan. None of these sons were her biological sons. Kunti used the boons given to her by Sage Durvasa to bear 4 sons— Karana (by Sun), Yudhishthira (by Yama), Bhima (by Vayu), and Arjuna (by Indra).  Nakula and Sahadeva (by Ashvins – through Madri).

Draupadi is considered as one of the Panch-Kanyas or Five Virgins. is one of the most important female characters in the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. Draupadi symbolizes binding of the five chakras in a human body? She is thus referred as Kula kundalini, which resides in the spinal cord of the humans. She has five husbands. She was actually married to Arjuna but due to a misunderstanding of words said by Kunti, she became a wife of 5 brothers. She sacrificed her own desires in order to keep the bond strong between 5 brothers. Draupadi was born from fire.
