New Way Of greeting by New Zealanders During The Lockdown
Meanwhile, the news is coming that New Zealanders are entertaining themselves during lockdown with the idea of placing teddybear in their homes.
New Zealanders facing lockdown are resorting to teddy bears. They are not only keeping the mood of the people right but are also entertaining children very much. Actually, a four-week lockdown has been declared in New Zealand in the wake of the Corona crisis. During this time the government is allowing people to go out of the house to exercise provided people to take care of safe physical distance.

In this lockdown, people have decorated teddy bears to remove boredom. Some on the tree, some on the window, and some have placed them upside down on the balcony. People stare at them to avoid boredom, and children are also entertaining themselves equally.
Here Comes The Idea From
The idea of using Teddy to entertain people came from the children’s book ‘We are going to the bear hunt’ written by Michael Rosen. However, the author is in a hospital due to corona-like symptoms where his condition is critical.

A website has also been started in which one lakh twenty thousand people across the country have registered and given details of the teddy bear by themselves. Hafmann said that he did not expect that people would take this campaign so much. He told that some people are changing their teddy style every day. He told that a woman wrote that a teddy bear is his partner in isolation.
Actually, this woman was in isolation due to surgery six weeks before the start of the lockdown. According to Hafman, people are not only feeling connected with each other through this campaign but are also making some contribution to society. This campaign has also been appreciated by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
