People For Cattle In India, more popular as PFCI is an NGO which started and initiative to protect the lives of numerous animals from getting crushed under road accidents.
The NGO started tagging dogs and animals with reflective collars so that anyone while driving could see them clearly and accidents can be prevented. The organisation started tagging these collars in Chennai and were successful in tagging 300 stray dogs and animals when they realised that the most common danger to the lives of this animals is getting run over by a car.
According to Buzzfeed, this is what Arun Prasanna from PFCI told them, “When we questioned the drivers during our research, they told us that they couldn’t see the animals in the dark half the time.”
The collars with which they are tagging the animals are made up of 3M quality reflective material with nylon straps and can shine enough for anyone notice the animal whoever will be wearing it.
Till now, PFCI had the goals to tag 80,000 unaccounted dogs and animals of Chennai but now they want to save the life of each and every animal in India through their miraculous initiative.
