Just yesterday we found out that Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, directed by Johannes Roberts, wo n’t be released until November (instead of September), and today is the film’s official plot. And that is a lot closer to the first two games than the previous film.
The film’s synopsis is as follows:
In Welcome to Raccoon City, we go back to where it all began; fan and director Johannes Roberts brings the games from the franchise and the most successful game adaptation in movie history to a new generation of fans.
After the rise and fall of pharmaceutical giant Umbrelle Corporation, Raccoon City is now a haggard town in the Midwestern United States. The city is deserted but haunted by an evil force beneath the surface.
Once that evil reveals itself, the town’s inhabitants are changed forever … A small group of survivors must now work together to survive the night and unravel the secret behind Umbrella.
