As per the recent updates, the Prime Minister can visit the Jaisalmer border of Rajasthan. He will be accompanied by Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narvane.
Since the time Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, he has been celebrating the festival of Diwali with soldiers at the border. Like every year Modi is preparing to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers. As per the recent updates, the Prime Minister can visit the Jaisalmer border of Rajasthan. But his schedule is still kept under the wrap. Along with him Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narvane, could also give a company to the Prime Minister.
Every year on the occasion of Diwali Prime Minister visits borders at different locations. To make his Diwali a special one he interacts with the soldiers and share sweets. His last visit was Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, where he spends time with Army troops guarding the Line of Control (LoC). In the same year, while returning from Rajouri, PM Modi reached Pathankot Airbase and celebrated Diwali with Air Warrior and other personnel.

In the year 2014 Modi visited the Siachen glacier base camp to meet the soldiers. His next visit was the Punjab border in 2015. Talking about 2016, the Prime Minister celebrated Diwali with the Indian Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). Coming to 2017 he celebrated the festival with soldiers posted in the Gurez sector of Jammu and Kashmir. He marked his presence on the Chinese border in Uttarakhand with army personnel and ITBP personnel.
